Attorney Louise Ing will discuss workplace and employee protection issues; health insurance issues, transfer and furlough issues; CARES issues; force majeure and epidemic clauses; “essential” businesses; litigation choices and timelines; enforcement of lockdowns and quarantine; issues and claims arising out of testing, triage and treatment; anticipated or needed changes in the law to deal with a second wave or new epidemic; CARES ACT/PPP: Documentation for loan forgiveness; Can employer require ‘ee to use paid leave? For expanded FMLA, an employer can require; Reopening the workplace when government orders end: OSHA and other workplace safety issues; recommended practices.
