Polynesian Cultural Center Reopens (Restaurants Of Hawaii)
Ali‘i lu‘au welcomes back visitors. The host for this episode is Jay Fidell. The guests for this episode are Sheryl Matsuoka and Eric Workman.
When visitors think about their must dos in Hawaii, one of the first things on their bucket list is a Hawaiian Luau. When you think of Hawaii, you think of luau and the celebration that comes along with it – the lei greeting, the picturesque cotton-candy Hawaiian sunsets skies, hula, and the feast with the kalua pig… and so much more. However, when the pandemic first appeared on the islands, mandatory state stay-at-home orders and travel restrictions were implemented. As the island begins to reopen, many of these restrictions, while still intact, have loosened; however, one of the most difficult for many of us is the limit to social gatherings – reason being, it’s inherently in our island’s DNA that we love to gather and celebrate with each other, together. Despite these obstacles presented, the Polynesian Cultural Center has begun its initial reopening to guests and the community at large and with this includes their renown and loved Hawaiian Luau for all to experience.
