Hawaii Restaurants Push Forward. The host for this episode is Jay Fidell. The guests for this episode are Sheryl Matsuoka and Tom Jones.

2020 was a very difficult year for businesses especially restaurants due to the presence of the COVID Pandemic. Even with the challenges of social distancing & a limited number of people at a table (it’s currently 5 max on Oahu), restaurateurs continue to open new restaurants. Upcoming restaurants applied many accommodations for their business to grow such as touchless menus, plexiglass, QR codes and takeout options. Interruptions and obstacles like our second stay at home order or Bill 40 did not stop aspiring new restaurants from making progress. Many new restaurants were able to take advantage of various benefits such as the Hawaii Restaurant Card to attract new potential customers. Restaurants will continue to emerge in 2021. The Business Holiday Card will keep attracting new customers and a potential vaccine is in the works. Hopefully our new generation of restaurants can have a better ground to start off on.
