Hiroshima and the Memory of it Today; That Memory is Different in Different Countries (Global Connections). The host for this show was Jay Fidell. The guest was Paul Scott.

The discussion was: Paul Scott has been a translator and interpreter for atomic bomb survivors in Hiroshima for the past 20 years. He gives us a preview of the keynote he will present on the subject at a conference in Brazil this August. The conference and this discussion concerns memory – how and what we remember about happened in Hiroshima – and how that memory is different between Japan and the US.

The takeaway was: The atomic bomb at Hiroshima was a turning point for the world, and we need to study what happened there and how people remember it differently in Japan and the U.S.
