Hawaii Ocean Time-Series, it’s HOT – Part Two
October 30th is the 30th anniversary of the Hawaii Ocean Time-series program that Dr. Dave Karl co-founded in 1988. Its first research expedition to Station ALOHA was on 30 Oct 1988 so it is literally at our 30th anniversary.
During the 30 years of HOT, we have published about 700 scientific papers with lead authors from around the world. About 60 of these appeared in the leading journal Limnology and Oceanography.
That collection will be released (reprinted, electronically in a virtual 30th anniversary issue) on 30 October by Wiley Interscience under sponsorship of the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography, the professional society that publishes that journal.
The host for this episode is Jay Fidell. The guests for this episode are Dave Karl and Angelique White.
