Hawaii Electric Vehicle Association (Hawaii: State Of Clean Energy)
Hawaii EV – Leading the Charge. The host for this episode is Mitch Ewan. The guests for this episode are Noel Morin and Bill Bugbee.
This session introduces Hawaii EV Association, a non-profit dedicated to accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles across Hawaii. We discuss the benefits of zero-emission transportation, i.e.,
– EVs reduce air pollution, a leading cause of health issues and mortality across the globe.
– EVs reduce our greenhouse gas emission footprint and they get better at it as our grid is decarbonized.
– EVs cost less to maintain.
– EVs can be over 90% efficient – most of the stored energy makes it to the wheels, and regenerative braking allows for the capture of kinetic energy. In contrast, it is around 25% for conventional internal combustion engine vehicles, and
The current state of adoption in Hawaii and the barriers to adoption.
