Many people spoke at the event, including Carl Freedman, of the Hawaii Energy Policy Forum, Ford Fuchigami, the Director of Transportation, Lee Steinmetz, from the County of Kauai, Mike Packard, from the City and County of Honolulu, Mike Madsen, of the Department of Health, Lance Tanaka, of Par Hawaii, Greg Gaug, of the Ulupono Initiative, Craig Dirksen, of Oregon Metro Council and Gov. David Ige. Awards were given out to organizations and individuals who impacted the state’s energy profile. Other Speakers included Maria Tome, of the Hawaii Energy Policy Forum, Rep. Chris Lee, the Chair, House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Environmental Protection, Senator Kalani English, Leo Asuncion, of the Hawaii State Office of Planning, Scott Set, of the Hawaiian Electric Companies, Stan Osserman, of Hawaii Center for Advanced Transportation Technologies, David Rolf, of Hawaii Automobile Dealers Association, Ryan Tam, of Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transport, Shem Lawlor, of Blue Planet Foundation, and Eric Sundquist, of University of Wisconsin.
