France’s New Leadership in International Affairs
It may come as a surprise to you but France has assumed a new leadership role in both foreign and security affairs. French negotiators, for instance, have checked and then forced U.S. State Department negotiators to tighten and upgrade the West’s position in the nuclear negotiations with Iran. There are a many of other instances where France is taking the lead among the EU nations—even in the current Ukraine crisis. We want to find out more about these new developments that run contrary to the American image of France on the world stage.
