Lucian Pugliaresi is President of the Energy Policy Research Foundation, Inc. (EPRINC), an energy policy think tank, in Washington D.C. He joins Jay Fidell on Energy in America to address the Nation’s most recent energy news.

The discussion will continue on whether gasoline taxes are the way to save Tax Reform. It seems most of the revenue initiatives to save tax reform are not making it, such as the border adjustment tax, and the carbon tax. So were are left with an old standby, gasoline taxes. However, the states already have been busy raising taxes and this initiative could be especially painful for Hawaiians. The federal government has not raised the federal excise tax since 1993.
